About Mary
I have been a CPA for more than twenty years working primarily in public accounting. Public accounting has given me experience with a wide variety of individuals and business entities.
I received my BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and passed my CPA exam that same year on my first try. I started out at Arthur Anderson, LLP in Milwaukee, Wisconsin immediately following my college graduation, and remained working there until I moved to Madison. My work experience in Madison has covered a few of the different public accounting firms including three years at Grant Thornton, LLP, ten years at Smith & Gesteland, LLP, and seven years at Loughrin Accounting, SC. I have always had clients of my own that I prepared income taxes for, so when I found the door opening for me to start my own business, I openly embraced it.
I enjoy working with a variety of individuals and small businesses. I excel in working with individuals behind in filing past taxes, especially when correspondence with the Internal Revenue Service and/or the Wisconsin Department of Revenue is involved. My goal with each and every client is to get them caught up in their past financial needs and help them with their future financial needs, with minimal expense to each client.
